Rodney Lee Rollason

Feb. 1, 1960 – June 4, 2022

Rodney Lee Rollason, 62, of Duncansville, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on June 4, 2022.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Rollason Jr., his parents, Ernest Paul Rollason Sr. and Janice (Vaughn) Rollason; maternal grandparents, Llewellyn Jones Vaughn and Irma Anna (Endress) Vaughn; paternal grandparents, George Rollason and Anna Margaret (Wogan) Rollason; and significant others, Ivan Medigovich and Henry Kremer.

Rodney was a unique and forthright individual who loved to share the company of family and friends.

He is survived by a sister, Cindy Lattieri and her husband, Daniel; a brother, Thomas Rollason; a niece, Diana Hoffman and her husband, Matt; a nephew, Kevin Maher; great and great-great nieces and nephews: Aubrie and Trent Howe, Quentin Ulicne, Elianna Maher and Briella, Blake and Adalynn Johnston.

Rodney worked with family at Vaughn Trucking before seeking his adventures out west in California and Arizona. The Doberman Pinschers he bred watched over his home while he worked at Lamps Plus or as he cleaned movie theaters and office buildings.

Rod moved back to Pennsylvania to be with family. In his later years, he enjoyed volunteering at the Altoona Food Bank and gathering with locals at a mature social spot in Duncansville.

We will commemorate his life at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 1021 Fifth Ave., Duncansville.

In lieu of flowers, Rodney would have requested that donations be made to Altoona Food Bank, 2318 N. Branch Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
