Not for a while please!

It's been an interesting life since leaving Hollidaysburg to attend college in the Harrisburg area and then meeting my husband Brett after college. We married in 1983, lived in PA a few years, then Minnesota and then to lovely North Carolina. We now live in what we call home: the Harrisburg area once again.

We have 2 daughters - the youngest graduating college this year and enjoying their lives. Brett and I are empty nesters! Time flies!

I love to travel and am glad for opportunities to live something new! One fascinating experience a couple years ago was a vacation with friends to the middle east. Spending 3 weeks traveling from exquisite Dubai to remote desert towns in Arab countries was an unbelievable experience!!!!

Last summer, along with a few college friends, I spent a few weeks in Europe, visiting my childhood homes in Innsbruck and Vienna, Austria. It's always great fun. This summer Brett and I will spend a couple weeks in the a small village in the alps, and wherever else the wind blows.

It isn't a story ....

The greatest treasure that I have from high school is that Mindy Truesdale McDonald and I have maintained our friendship. Living first 20 miles, then 1000 miles, later 400 miles and finally once again just 7 miles away from each other just outside of Harrisburg, I consider myself blessed!
Our husbands are crazy together, the kids are good friends and enjoy time together. From hundreds of trips, sleepovers, spa vacations, shopping (yea we are still girls!), beaches and mountains, we all enjoy each others company!
I count Mindy's friendship over these MANY years one of my life's great treasures. From the humble beginings of Latin class in...8th Grade? ....I can't believe we still talk numerous times a week.
Together our daughters have created a 2nd generation of memories and this summer my 2 have the honor of being bridesmaids in Mindy's daughters wedding. The fun continues...
